2023 WCOPA Semi-Finalist Raven Advincula is Philippines-born

Raven Advincula gets the WCOPA Silver pin as she reaches the Semifinals of the 2023 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held at the Anaheim, California, USA last August.

Raven was born in the Philippines. She was just a year old when her parents moved to New Zealand. According to her mom Cherrie, Raven has found interest in acting and singing when she’s four at a Chinese Lantern Festival where she went to the stage and sang a song from ‘Moana’.

As preparation of Raven for WCOPA, the #SingerStudioAllies have mentored her on various aspect of performance — on choreography, stage presence, among others. The #SingerStudioAllies is a roster of major competition winners themselves, record label artists, and celebrities that have walked and lived the stage. Coach Jojo Acosta is Raven’s main mentor. Coach Jojo is a Manila-based international voice coach, founder of the Singer Studio — the Philippines’ first studio of customized-voice lessons.

Raven is a diligent student, also active at the Auckland Performing Arts Academy. She gets many invites to perform at various events in New Zealand.
