Broadway Stars Director Michael Lavine to Melissa Sarmiento: “You’re terrific… your voice teacher is doing really good work with you”

Michael Lavine, Broadway vocal coach and musical director who has worked with stars such as Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Sutton Foster, Matthew Morrison, and Kristin Chenoweth, recently came to Manila. Jojo Acosta’s voice student Melissa Sarmiento went for a critique. Shared here is Mr. Lavine’s text message to her:

I think your voice teacher is doing really good work with you. I really don’t think you have anything to improve on with your voice.] Just keep working on your acting and find new songs that are really right for you. Feel free to brainstorm ideas with me anytime!
