COLN: Raw Sound, Refined Craft
Lincoln Velasquez is known to millions as CongTV, the vlogger and comedian who makes people laugh. But he has another name and another sound: COLN.
COLN is the rock and metal band Cong formed around 2018. Here, he steps away from comedy and picks up a guitar. He sings. He writes. He plays.
The band’s core lineup includes Cong on vocals and guitar, Yow Andrada on bass, Awi Columna on vocals and rap, Gio Herrera on lead guitar, and Nins Denso on drums. Together, they make heavy, guitar-driven music about struggle, hustle, and real life.
In 2025, the band performed again in La Union after a break. Fans were glad to see Cong return to music, not just vlogging.
For Team Payaman supporters, COLN is proof that their idol isn’t just a content creator. He’s a musician too.
But behind that raw, aggressive sound, there is also craft.
For several months now, vocal coach Jojo Acosta has been working with COLN as their voice and performance coach. The same coach who has trained award-winning singers and sat in recording sessions with groups like KAIA is now helping a rock and metal band find better control, stronger stamina, and more intentional stage presence.
The distortion stays. The rawness stays. But now, there is a coach listening in the background—making sure every scream lands where it should.
