JAN NIETO
Although he was always nominated to the next level, Jan Nieto never had a stand-out performance and was criticized every time he took the stage. His charm and humility, which won the hearts of his voting fans, helped him get through the early stages of the competition. But after lackluster performances, he needed to transform and be a better performer overnight to earn his spot in the Big 3.
It was already in the critical stages of Philippine Idol Semifinals when vocal coach Jojo Acosta spent hours with him practicing and preparing for his songs. Then, the huge and obvious transformation began. As he went on, the judges dubbed him as the Most Improved singer in the competition. Watch two of his better performances with his renditions of Martin Nievera.
